Ladies..isn’t it an amazing time to be a woman right now? We’re living in the rise of #GirlBosses – sparked by Sophia Amaruso’s famous book. It is a detailing story about her road from a minimum wage employee to a multi-million dollar business empire.
This generation of women has stepped up as #GirlBosses, or #WRITTENWomen as we have deemed them, and pushed beyond all limits. Their dedication to success, drive for creativity, hard work ethic, and determination is contagious. We (women as a collective) have arrived at the realization that we can do and be anything. Praise!
There are so many incredible women who have created super successful businesses from scratch. Now, these women are living a life doing what they love, and on their own terms, we might add.

Sophia Amoruso
Despite Nasty Gal’s recent filing for bankruptcy, the reigning Queen and creator of the #GirlBoss movement doesn’t appear to be putting the brakes on anytime soon.
Since setting up her fashion brand Nasty Gal on eBay and growing it to a multi-million dollar online clothing business, she has also found time to write a best-selling book, launch the #GirlBoss Foundation (which awards financial grants to women in the worlds of design, fashion, music and the arts) and recently had a movie made about her life story.
Cara Alwill Leyba
Cara began her solo career writing a popular blog called The Champagne Diet. Since then, she has written and self-published a number of books. Most popular? Girl Code, which is a guide to success and happiness for the female entrepreneur.
Today, Cara also runs her own podcast where she speaks openly and honestly about the numerous struggles we all face as women today – whether it’s feeling good about our bodies, finding a work-life balance or even struggling with ending a toxic relationship.
Alex Wolf
Alex is the founder of The Boss Babe Academy – a brilliant resource and networking tool for ambitious millennial business-minded women.
She actually started out as a social media consultant before launching Boss Babe, which has grown into a lifestyle brand with over 400k followers on Instagram in the space of three years. Today Alex is an author and speaker.
Gala Darling
Best known for her book, Radical Self Love, Gala’s career began when she created a blog from her bedroom. For years she suffered from an eating disorder and depression. Positively she managed to turn her life around through the discovery and power of self-love.
Gala now speaks around the world and continues to blog about her everyday discoveries when it comes to life and love.
Carrie Green
UK born Carrie created the Female Entrepreneur Association in 2011 as a way to connect with like-minded women from all over the world. It’s an online hub with the mission of inspiring and empowering women to turn their ideas into a reality, build successful businesses and live a life they love.
