Everyone’s favorite month of summer is coming in hot…literally. While this year has been very busy for a lot of us and to say it has flown by would be an understatement, the idea of a small change of pace to celebrate Independence Day couldn’t have come at a better time. Am I right? Fourth of July Inspiration is heading your way!
Whether you’re traveling, visiting friends or family, or hosting a get-together, it’s the WRITTEN Woman’s nature to try and be on top of it all. We’ve all been there: between planning, picking up flowers, ordering desserts, making sure drinks are on ice, cleaning the house (or at least hiding a bunch of stuff in the catchall closet) the to-do list adds up quickly and before you know it, your day off goes spiraling into a panic.
We know how to set priorities for our work day, so with Fourth of July plans, it should be no different. Let’s focus on the only two things that matter: fashion and food. With that, I’ve compiled Fourth of July Inspiration for your wardrobe additions, as well as, indulgent party recipes that speak to your love for a good time.
Independence Day Fashion
Nothing says American like denim; that’s why this denim tank from Anthropologie is a great Independence Day fashion find. The spaghetti straps are perfect for the hot weather typically found in July, while the frayed detailing and fitted silhouette elevate the design.
If you ask us, there’s something missing from this festive t-shirt, but I guess pencil skirt just wouldn’t have quite the same ring to it. In the spirit of Independence Day, “Stars, Stripes, and Stilettos” sounds like a pretty good motto to me.
Looking for something a little more classic and timeless? This striped blouse from Veronica Beard is not only great for a Fourth of July barbecue, but once the Holiday festivities are over, this top doubles well for a day at the office.
This mini bag from Gucci, is definitely a splurge, but could serve you well for a lifetime of Independence Day celebrations. Constructed of leather, this statement accessory will surely last for years to come.
Complement your star power with these striped sunglasses from Tommy Hilfiger. Red, white, and blue is always in style in his world.
These blue and white gingham ankle wrap sandals are picnic perfect. With a chunky heel it’s easier to navigate through uneven terrain without worrying about spraining your ankle in the process.
Mix and match any of the above Independence Day wardrobe winners with our Naomi pencil skirt for a comfortable and chic Fourth of July look.
